Creative Calligraphy Course
Why? Because you deserve to tune out the outside world for a while, slow down, relax, and develop your creativity and calligraphy skills at the same time.

How? I’ll guide you through a series of creative exercises in which you’ll have the freedom to play and experiment with shapes, colors, and calligraphic lines… Without any pressure on performance or achievement. You’ll work at your own pace and according to your own preferences.
Is this course for me? Yes! That is, if you enjoy working with your hands. All you need is a desire to grow, play with letters, and create with colours on paper. The course is designed for both beginner and advanced calligraphers — the small class size ensures that I can give everyone individual attention, tailored to their needs.
When and where? July 15 - 19, 2026 in Prague (Hornokrcska 709/3). Classes will be held Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM. A total of 30 hours taught by Veronika Wuycheck.
How much? Early Bird Price: CZK7,900 (if you register and pay by May 24, 2026 (Early Bird price). If you register after May 24, 2026, the price is CZK8,900. You can register until June 25, 2026 (including the payment). The price includes all materials and supplies you’ll need for your projects.
Language: This course is taught primarily in Czech - but I will be happy to translate into English when needed!
Registration and payment terms: The registration form is available here. After filling it out, please email it to info@kaligrafnika.com; please direct any questions to the same address. You will receive confirmation of your reservation within 24 hours, along with the invoice (NET 14 or to be paid by May 24/June 25). Your place in the course is confirmed upon payment. The course fee must be paid in full via bank transfer.
More detailed organizational information will be available in due time.
Bonus for participants with young children: The course will be held on school grounds, where a room equipped for young children and a garden will be available. Your child accompanied by an adult may use these areas as a place to spend time during the course. (Please note: We do not provide childcare!)
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel your registration by June 25, 2026, the course fee of 3,500 CZK will be refunded.
If you cancel your participation on or after June 26, 2026, the course fee is non-refundable.
I will refund the course fee within 14 days of receiving written cancellation of your registration at info@kaligrafnika.com.
You may send a substitute to the course in your place; please notify me in advance via email.

It was an incredible week which, in my opinion, moved me forward tremendously and broadened my horizons of what can be created with letters and that contemporary calligraphy is not just about using a template to write the alphabet beautifully. The course showed me the beautiful connection of colors, showed me a piece of composition within a picture, writing with different tools - and even though I knew most of these, such a larger interconnection was a first-time experience for me. I experienced a week of relaxation with something I love and I hope that the whole year will fly by as quickly as the course, because I can't wait for it to continue! 🙂 Thank you very much, Veronika, and the other participants, for the days spent together, for the ideas and observations, for the corrections and the wonderful atmosphere.
Calligraphy courses were never very attractive to me, I don't have the patience to paint letters, to play with their details and line them up. But the several days long workshop taught by Veronika Wuycheck was a whole different experience. She took classical calligraphy as a mere stepping stone and guided us through the world of letters from many perspectives. Composition, lines, colors,... We tried different techniques, and I fell in love with the Cola Pen, which exactly fulfilled my need to create lively and spontaneous calligraphy, not just a neatly written script in a notebook. I recommend this workshop to anyone who likes the smell of paint and ink, Veronika has such extensive experience that she can accommodate different needs and levels of participants, so that everyone can find their own and create beautiful works.
I really liked the course, and even though I already had an idea from last year, I was excited about how many new ideas and creative games you can come up with and let them inspire you in your own work. It left me with a deep experience which I still draw from even after a few weeks. I really like the sophistication of the course and the content of the individual days, which subtly lead the participant to the conclusion, in which they will use all the knowledge and combine it to their own image. Simple put - immersion - you have to take small steps to get into the real depth of it. It's just a shame that at the end we have to emerge from it all again. 🙂
